01、了解移行
所谓“移行”，就是指在英语书写中，如果写到一行末尾而单词还没写完，就要把剩余的字母移至下移行，用“-”连接，e.g.
✦Further research in this field has led to the belief that aging in humans is cau-
-sed by the shortening of telomeres.
但是要注意以下情况：
（1）单音词词无论长短都不能拆开移行
✦Book pen sit bird
（2）缩略词一般不能拆分移行
✦UK不能拆分为U-K, Mr.Green不能拆分移行，必须整体移行
（3）“年、月、日“表示日期一般不移行，但是如果必须拆分移行，只能将“月、日”与“年”分开
✦April 16, 2010移行时，只能写成April 16
02、规范大小写
英语字母有大小写两种形式。每一句话开头的第一个单词的首字母必须大写，其余大部分单词在句中都是小写形式。
✦These stamps are beautiful。
这些邮票很好看
但是以下情况比较特殊，虽然不是句子开头的第一个单词，首字母也必须大写
（1）姓名的首字母都要大写
✦Tom Black 汤姆布莱克
（2）地名、国家名、某国人、语言等专有名词首字母大写
✦Beijing 北京 China 中国 Chinese 中国人 English 英语
（3）星期、月份、节日等名称的首字母大写
✦Tuesday 星期二 July 七月 Christmas 圣诞节
（4）“I”无论在句中的任何位置都要大写。
✦Mary and I are in the same class.
玛丽和我在同一个班
✦I am a student.
我是一个学生
03、关注标点
（1）句点：即句号，“.“
（2）逗号：即逗号，“，”
✦I like football, basketball and table tennis.
（3）问号：“？”
✦Your parents don’t believe what you said about your future, do they?
（4）感叹号：“！”
✦What a shame!
太遗憾了！
（5）冒号：“：”
✦This is my idea：go fishing.
这就是我的主意-去钓鱼。
（6）破折号：“—”
英语中的破折号为“—”，而汉语中的破折号为“——”
（7）分号：“；”
✦I realize I need exercise; however, I’ll lie down first to think about it.
（8）连字符：“- ”
✦ex-husband前夫， poorly-dressed衣着破烂的
（9）引号：双引号““””；单引“' ' ”
✦“Well,” the teacher said to him,” you look like your father.”
“嗯“，这位老师对他说，”你看起来像你的父亲。“
（10）括号：小括号“（）”，中括号“[]”，大括号“{ }”
✦（1），（2），（3）
（11）省略号：“…”
✦Wash some pears , apples…
